Having the ability to heat treat and temper a blade right in your own shop makes you stand out among knifemakers.

Projects are completed without long delays waiting for blades to be returned, shortening the build time and giving you full control of all aspects of your custom knife.

It is said that the steel is the heart of the knife – and certainly the heat treating/tempering is the soul.

Evenheat Kilns are tops in the industry – I have been using mine since 2006 and would not be without it!! In fact, I cannot imagine how I got along without one for so many years.

They are easy to use, plug into household outlets (either 120 or 240V), and can be programmed to hold as many as 8 different programs for varying types of steel. They can be operated anywhere – I have mine set up in the laundry room.

The chambers vary in different depths from 14″ to 49.5″ (if you’re into swords !!). There are kilns designed for high temperatures, and one for tempering that runs on 120V.

Pricing starts at $ 2,580 depending on kiln depth, and type of controls (TAP or RM, and other options (for example, Solid State Controls)).

We do not carry an inventory – each oven is custom built just for you. Delivery will be made directly to your shop in 4-5 weeks, or less.
